Glenda R. Mujer Esperanza (Woman of Hope) was born in Cuba and emigrated to Puerto Rico, where she studied at various universities, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, two Master's degrees—one in Public Health and the other in Public Administration—as well as her certification as an Empowerment Coach from iPEC Excellence in Coach Training.
She worked at the Puerto Rico Department of Health and at the University of Puerto Rico in the Department of Fine Arts, researching and producing several books on music history.
She has collaborated with the Luz Cariño Foundation on the production and publication of two of its books.
Currently, she works as a paraprofessional in public schools with children with special needs in Miami. Instituto Folklorico Cubano Americano, Jazzonian – Jazz Museum of Florida, and Maestro Ramirez Publishing.
