The Maestro Bobby Ramírez Cuban-American Folklore Institute is a non-profit organization founded in 2012. Led by its General Director, Dr. Glenda R. Mujer Esperanza, PhD. (Arts and Culture), our primary function is educational, serving both the local community and the world at large. Our mission is to rescue the classic Cuban salon Danzón; to preserve and promote Cuba’s original folk music and authentic dance traditions—particularly those of the 19th century; to participate in cultural exchange programs; to facilitate community service opportunities for high school students; to inspire young people with the family values ​​championed by the Apostle José Martí; and to educate, and to bring love and happiness to 1,000,000 young people and families each year.
